"To everything, there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven." Ecc 3:1
In all honestly, the season I'm in right now and have been dealing with is pretty rocky. It's been rough struggling with this weird unbalance in my heart and soul where something just doesn't feel right. I've been wanting to so badly turn the page on everything in my current circumstances, however it's been hard to pinpoint what I'm trying to turn the page on. This ongoing struggle of being confused and returning to old habits and feeling a loss of identity in Christ has been draining.
It's times and seasons such as these where it's so important to grasp on to God and trust him through it all. Although I don't know where I'm going, He does. While we're on lower grounds walking through such mazes of life, we must give up control and hand it up to Him who is seated higher than us.
Today God has truly opened up my heart and I've realized that although I'm struggling, I do not need a situation change for my spirit to change. I can find hope and peace and joy and comfort in the lord even when waves seem to be crashing over me. We must realize that God is always doing more than we think. So when the page looks discouraging, press on.
You can't allow a bad season to destroy your entire story. We are vessels and new creations in Christ. No matter what emotions are downed on us - guilt, shame, anger, fear, sorrow, condemnation... we can walk free for God has already delivered us. We weren't created to carry such bondage because Jesus already paid the price for our sins. It's a free gift. While we deserved the crucifixion, Jesus said, "Set them free," "Let me take your sins," "Let me take your guilt and shame."
Because of his vast, wide, high, and unshakable love, we can walk in peace and freedom and tranquility and deliverance.
May we use our dry seasons and raw emotions to let God change our hearts and expose us to our greater calling. We are saved by His grace and his grace alone. He paid the ultimate price. All of our mistakes will evidently serve a purpose instead of serving shame. Because He's a good and loving God like that. His grace is sufficient for all of us. His grace is enough.
